A total of 6,565 vacancies have been announced for Technician Grade I Signal and Technician Grade III posts across various railway zones in India. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Instrumentation from a recognized University/Institute.OR
B.Sc. in a combination of any sub-stream of these basic disciplines.OR
3 years Diploma / Degree in Engineering in the above basic streams or their combinations.
Technician Grade III
Class 10th (Matriculation / SSLC) plus ITI certificate from NCVT/SCVT in a relevant trade/branch.OR
Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the relevant trade.

Note: Age relaxations will be applicable for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwBD/ Ex-SM candidates as per government norms.

Selection Process – RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 CEN No.02/2026
Candidates will have to clear the following successive stages to secure a post:
Computer-Based Test (CBT): An objective multiple-choice exam.
Document Verification (DV): Verification of academic credentials, identity, and category certificates.
Medical Examination: Fitness verification adhering to specific railway medical standards (A-3, B-1, B-2, C-1 depending on the final post distribution).
