The maximum age as on the date of advertisement i.e. 14-05-2026 should be 63 years for fresh engagement (as the engagement is for a maximum of 3 years or up to attainment of 65 years of age, whichever is earlier).
No relaxation in upper age limit will be available to reserved category candidates.
The officer should have retired from the Bank’s service on attaining superannuation at the age of 60 years.

Selection Process – SBI Concurrent Auditor Recruitment 2026
- The selection process for SBI Concurrent Auditor Recruitment 2026 is based on Shortlisting and Interview.
- Merely fulfilling the minimum qualification and experience will not vest any right in the candidate for being called for interview.
- The Shortlisting Committee constituted by the Bank will decide the shortlisting parameters.
- Adequate number of candidates, as decided by the Bank, will be shortlisted and called for interview.
- The decision of the Bank to call candidates for interview shall be final.
- Interview will carry 100 marks. The qualifying marks in the interview will be decided by the Bank. Merit list for final selection will be prepared in descending order of scores obtained in the interview only.
Shortlisting & Interview Process
Stage 1 – Shortlisting: Based on eligibility criteria, qualification, suitability and experience. Shortlisting parameters decided by the Bank. Decision of the Bank is final.
Stage 2 – Interview: 100 marks. Conducted by the interview committee. Decision of the committee is final and binding. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Stage 3 – Merit List: Prepared in descending order of scores in interview only. Tie-break: Descending order of age. Candidates scoring minimum qualifying marks will be considered.
Stage 4 – Deployment: Retired officers will be selected and kept in a pool. Pool valid for 1 year from date of declaration of results or till issuance of fresh advertisement, whichever is earlier. Officers deployed against vacancies available; non-acceptance of preferred center offer results in removal from merit list.
Tie-Breaking Rules
- 1st Tie-Break: Descending order of age (older candidate ranked higher)
