JMC Educational Qualification

• For Assistant Town Planner: Planning History, Urban Theories, Transport Planning, Housing and Environment Planning, GIS and Remote Sensing, and Planning Legislation (Gujarat Town Planning Act).
• For Environment Engineers: Constitution provisions for Environment, Hydrosphere, Atmosphere, Water Pollution Control, Air Pollution, Hazardous Waste Management, and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).

JMC Age Limit & Eligibility

Candidates must fulfill the age and educational criteria as specified in the original recruitment advertisements (16/2024-25, 17/2024-25, and 25/2024-25). Generally, for class-2 posts, a relevant engineering degree or professional master’s degree is required.

JMC Selection Process

The selection process for these posts consists of two main stages: a written examination followed by a personal interview. The written exam will be in a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format. According to the official JMC syllabus notification:

• Total Marks: 200 Marks.
• Written Exam (MCQ): 175 Marks (175 Questions).
• Personal Interview: 25 Marks.
• Duration: 2 Hours and 30 Minutes.
• Medium: Gujarati and English.
• Negative Marking: There is no negative marking in the written examination.
• Passing Criteria: Candidates must secure a minimum of 50 marks in the written test to be considered for the merit list.
