The Gaun Seva Pasandagi Mandal (GSSSB) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Vanpal (Forester) Class-3 posts.  This is a great opportunity for candidates looking a government job of the Gujarat Forest Department. Educational Qualification: GSSSB Vanpal Recruitment 2026

• Must have a Graduate Degree from a recognized university.
• Must possess basic knowledge of computer applications as per the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment Rules, 1967.
• Must have sufficient knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both languages.

Special Advantage: Candidates qualified a B.Sc. degree with Forestry as the main subject will get an additional weightage of 10% of the total marks secured in the written examination.

Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Disability Certificate: Must possess a valid Medical Certificate issued by a Civil Surgeon proving a disability of 40% or more. The recruitment specifically targets Leprosy Cured (LC) and Acid Attack Victims (AAV).

• Written Examination (MCQ / CBRT / OMR):
• Total Marks: 200 Marks (100 Questions, each carrying 2 marks).
• Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer.
• Exam Duration: 3 Hours and minimum Qualifying Marks: 40% (80 Marks out of 200).
• Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Must meet the minimum physical standards.
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Walking Test: Passing physical fitness standards as per forest department norms.
• Walking test: 25 km in 4 hours for male candidates; 14 km in 4 hours for female candidates.
• Document Verification (DV): Verifying all original educational and reservation certificates.

• Read the instruction details carefully and click on “Apply Now”.
• Fill in your Personal Details, Educational Qualification details, and Contact information accurately.
• Upload your scanned Passport Size Photograph and Signature in .jpg format (size under 15kb).
• Submit the application form and save the generated Application Number.
• Confirm your application using the application number and your date of birth. Note down your unique Confirmation Number.
• Pay the required application fee of Rs. 400/- online before the deadline.
• Print out hard copy and application fee.
