Eligibility Criteria – DRDO GTRE Apprentice Trainees Recruitment 2026
- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years as on June 6, 2026. The maximum age limit conforms to standard Government of India directives, offering up to 3 years relaxation for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.
- Year of Passing: Only candidates who have successfully passed their qualifying examinations in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 are eligible. Those who graduated before 2022 cannot apply.
- Exclusions: Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications than required, or individuals with 1 or more years of work/apprenticeship experience, are ineligible.
Educational Qualifications – DRDO GTRE Apprentice Trainees Recruitment 2026
Graduate Engineering: A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a statutory university or by an institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament
Diploma (Engineering: A Diploma in Engineering or Technology or equivalent qualification granted by a State Board of Technical
ITI Trades: Candidates who have passed out of ITI with valid certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT)
Non-Technical Graduate: A Degree granted by a statutory university or by an institution empowered to grant such degree
Mandatory Pre-Registration: Before attending the walk-in venue, candidates must be fully registered on the central apprenticeship portals. You will need a printout of your active profile.

- Stage 3: Shortlisting based on academic merit / written test / interview or combination thereof
- Stage 4: Character & antecedents verification and Certificate of Physical Fitness from authorized Medical Officer of any Government Hospital before commencement of training
