Educational Qualification : SBI Bank PO Recruitment 2026
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 30.09.2026. Candidates having Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 30.09.2026. Candidates possessing qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant etc. would also be eligible.
Note: The date of passing eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/ Institute. In case the result of a particular examination is posted on the website of the University/ Institute, a certificate issued by the appropriate authority of the University/ Institute indicating the date on which the result was posted on the website will be taken as the date of passing.
Age Limit (As on 01.04.2026) : SBI Bank PO Recruitment 2026
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Maximum age: 30 years
- candidates must have been born not later than 01.04.2005 and not earlier than 02.04.1996 (both days inclusive).
- Relaxation in Upper age limit shall be as below:
- Other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non-Creamy Layer): 03 years
- Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes (SC/ ST): 05 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): PwBD (UR/ EWS): 10 years, PwBD (OBC): 13 years, PwBD (SC/ ST): 15 years
- Ex Servicemen: 05 years

Salary/ Emoluments : SBI Bank PO Recruitment 2026
EMOLUMENTS: Presently, the starting basic pay is 48,480/- (Plus 4 advance increments) in the scale of 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The official will be eligible for DA, HRA, CCA, PF, Contributory Pension Fund i.e., NPS, LFC, Medical Facility, Lease rental facility etc. and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time. The approximate CTC at initial scale of pay at Mumbai Centre is Rs.21.97 Lacs.
Selection Process : SBI Bank PO Recruitment 2026
The selection for Probationary Officers will be done through a three-Phase process:
- Phase-I: Preliminary Examination: Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Test for 100 marks will be conducted online. The test will have of 3 Sections (with separate timings for each section)
- PHASE-II: MAIN EXAMINATION: The Main Examination will be conducted online and will consist of Objective tests for 200 marks and Descriptive test for 30 marks. The Descriptive test will be administered immediately after conclusion of the Objective test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive test answers on the computer.
- PHASE-III: COMPRISE OF PSYCHOMETRIC TEST, GROUP EXERCISE & PERSONAL INTERVIEW
How to Apply?
Candidates can apply online only from 18.06.2026 to 08.07.2026. No other mode of application will be accepted. PRE-REQUISITES FOR APPLYING ONLINE: Candidates should have valid email ID and mobile no. which should be kept active till the declaration of results. It will be essentially required for receiving any communication/ call letters/ advices from the Bank by email/ SMS.
