Age Relaxation: Upper age limits are relaxable by 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PwBD candidates, applicable only to posts reserved for respective categories.

Matriculation (10th pass) or equivalent from a recognized board.
LDC / Stenographer
12th class pass from a recognized board. Candidates must also meet skill standards (Typing speed of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi on a computer for LDC; 80 wpm dictation for 10 minutes and 50 min English/65 min Hindi transcription on a computer for Stenographer).
Civilian Motor Driver
12th class pass, possession of a valid civilian driving license for heavy vehicles, and a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
Technical/IT Posts (Admin/Lineman/Boat Builder)
Matriculation along with an ITI certificate, Diploma, or B.E./B.Tech in the relevant technical trade.

The selection process involves multiple clearing stages to filter out eligible candidates:
Written Examination: A competitive objective-type MCQ test covering General Intelligence, Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English, and General Awareness.
Skill Test / Trade Test: Post-specific practical tests (e.g., typing for LDC, driving test for Driver, trade-specific tests for technical roles). This stage is qualifying in nature.
Document Verification: Verification of original academic certificates, identity proofs, and category certificates.
How to Apply?
Download and Print the Form: Visit the official DSSC website (dssc.gov.in) to download the official recruitment notification and application form layout. Print it clearly on standard A4 size paper.
Fill the Details Carefully: Fill out the form completely in capital letters using a blue or black ballpoint pen. Ensure your name, date of birth, and educational details match your 10th-standard certificate.
