Education & Eligible Criteria : SECR Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2026
To be eligible for the SECR Nagpur Apprentice posts, candidates must meet the criteria calculated as of May 19, 2026
- Matriculation: Must have passed Class 10 or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
- Technical Qualification: Must possess an ITI Certificate in the relevant trade issued by NCVT or SCVT.

Age Limit : SECR Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2026
- Minimum Age: 15 Years
- Maximum Age: 24 Years
- Age Relaxations: SC/ST candidates get a 5-year relaxation, OBC candidates get a 3-year relaxation, and PWBD/Ex-Servicemen receive a 10-year relaxation.

Selection Process : SECR Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2026
- Selection is strictly merit-based.
- There is no written examination or interview.
- The authorities will prepare a merit list taking an average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation (Class 10) and ITI examinations, giving equal weightage to both.
Tie-Breaking Rules
1st Tie-Break: Candidate with older age shall be preferred
2nd Tie-Break: Candidate who passed Matriculation exam earlier shall be considered first (if date of birth is also the same)

Important Required Documents
- Matriculation/ 10th Standard Mark Sheet and Certificate (original)
- ITI National Trade Certificate (NTC) or Provisional Certificate from NCVT/ SCVT
- SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS/ PWBD certificate in central format (if applicable)
- Discharge Certificate (for Ex-Servicemen) or Armed Forces serving certificate (for children of Armed Forces personnel)
- Disability Certificate issued by a competent authority (for PWBD candidates) as per Annexure III/ IV/ V/ VI
- Medical Certificate at the time of joining in prescribed proforma (signed by a Government Authorized Gazetted Doctor, not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon of Central/State Hospital)
Note: No daily allowance, conveyance allowance, or travelling allowance will be paid to candidates called for document verification. No accommodation will be provided by Railway for apprentices.
