In order to provide better education to the bright students belonging to the socially and educationally backward classes, economically backward classes, nomadic, exempted castes, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes at the secondary and higher secondary levels, a total of 35 ideal residential schools (secondary/higher secondary level) have been set up in the state of Gujarat, 08 for girls and 27 for boys.
